Social cohesion of Russian society: status and development trends
On November 13, a round table "Social cohesion of Russian society: status and development trends" was held at RISS. The event was attended by Yury Latov, Chief Researcher at the Center for Integrated Research at the Institute of Sociology of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Anatoly Bykov, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy at the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University; Alexander Lukonin, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Initiatives to Support Participants in a Special Military Operation and Perpetuate the Memory of Heroes of the Fatherland; Boris Golovin, Deputy Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for the Development of Social Activism and Social Communications, Agency for Social Technologies and Communications, as well as RISS experts.
During the discussion, experts analyzed the current state, key issues and main trends in the development of social cohesion in Russian society. Special attention was paid to the role of the civil sector in maintaining stability of society in the context of a special military operation, its initiatives to preserve traditional cultural and historical values among young people, as well as ways to further improving the patriotic education of the new generation.
The participants of the event emphasized that the common goal of the citizens of Russia is to make our country a prosperous power, where population is proud of its history, the present and looks forward with the utmost confidence. Thus to ensure social harmony, strengthen patriotism and form the readiness of new generations of Russians to defend the Fatherland and the interests of our multinational people is of particular importance.
