RISS Director spoke at the BRF Advisory Council meeting
RISS Director (Former Prime Minister of Russia) H.E. Mikhail Fradkov took part in the BRF Advisory Council meeting. The event took place on January 27 in an online format.
The participants stressed that China made the considerable efforts to promote resilient global development. It was noted that an important role is played by facilitating the integration of national development plans and the diversification of logistics chains to resist political instability and new economic challenges. The joint efforts to find mechanisms to prevent risks and to implement infrastructure projects were also identified as promising tasks for cooperation.
In his speech, the Director of RISS emphasized the importance of predictable global governance and increasing mutual trust between the leaders of states under the new conditions.
Mikhail Fradkov noted the great importance of further implementing plans to promote integration of the EAEU and the BRI. As this not only meets the economic interests of Russia and China, but also contributes to the development of Central Asian states and search for new economic growth points in Eurasia. He also pointed out the value to respect the choice of national development of each state and the special role of strengthening humanitarian cooperation, including digital sphere and the rational use of artificial intelligence.
