RISS Director spoke at an international forum in China
During the World Peace Forum held in Beijing on July 2-4, RISS Director Mikhail Fradkov delivered a report on the topic of "Building a New World Order: Key Challenges and Opportunities." The event, organized by Tsinghua University, is being held in China for the 13th time and traditionally attracts the attention of experts and political leaders from dozens of countries around the world.
In his speech, the RISS Director focused on such issues as the desire of many Western countries to impose their “rules of the game” on sovereign states in violation of the norms and principles of the UN Charter, as well as the undermining of the global security system through NATO expansion. Mikhail Fradkov emphasized the successes and potential for developing alternative formats of multilateral cooperation to the West, noting the Russian initiative of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and the prospects for its conjugation with the Chinese project "One Belt, One Road." In addition, the RISS Director shared his vision of the possibilities for further strengthening cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.
