11th Ulaanbaatar Security Dialogue – 2026

RISS experts participated in the 11th Ulaanbaatar Security Dialogue, which brought together approximately 300 participants from more than 30 countries.

S.M. Yermakov, Director of the Center for Military-Technical Problems, spoke at the first session, presenting Russia's perspective on security in Northeast Asia. Key risks included the expansion of the US military presence, the development of bloc-based approaches, and the weakness of regional institutions.

Furthermore, the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia held a trilateral conference, "The Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor: Challenges, Opportunities, and Solutions." Leading RISS expert I.N. Bazhenov participated in the event.

In his speech, the RISS expert noted that the implementation of the Russia-Mongolia-China Economic Corridor requires the integration of Mongolia's "Steppe Road" initiative and China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative with Russia's proposal for a Greater Eurasian Partnership.
