Russian Institute for Strategic Studies

On December 5, the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies hosted a round table on the "Results of the Presidential Elections and Prospects for the Internal Political Situation in Kazakhstan."

The event gathered the following: a staff member at the Center for Post-Soviet Studies (IMEMO RAS), Elena Kuzmina, a senior research fellow at the Center for Post-Soviet Studies (IMEMO RAS), Stanislav Pritchin, Head of the Economics Department at the CIS Institute, Aza Migranyan, Associate Professor of the Political Science Department at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Evgeniya Makhmutova, and RISS profile experts.

The participants discussed the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan on November 20, 2022, prospects for the internal developments in this country, and the achievements of the current objectives set by the president to ensure further transformation of the republic’s political system, democratic development, and socio-economic improvement.
