Foreign policy ambitions of France were discussed at RISS

An expert meeting "Foreign Policy Ambitions of France: Challenges for Russia" was held at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies on September 29. The event was attended by Irina Bolgova, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Studies at MGIMO; Evgenia Obichkina, Professor of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy at MGIMO; Natalia Tanshina, Leading Researcher of the Institute of International Studies at MGIMO; Sergey Fedorov, Leading Researcher at the Department of Social and Political Studies at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as relevant RISS experts.

During the in-depth discussion, the round table participants shared views on a wide range of issues related to France's foreign policy priorities in Europe and other regions of the world. Experts paid special attention to the analysis of Paris' destructive course aimed at complicating the crisis around Ukraine, as well as France's relations with the world’s leading centers of power.
